We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Hills Landscaping has established strategic alliances with a number of consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our customers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
