We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate big difficult stumps from websites with limited access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
