Tree pruning or removal either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove large challenging stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function built canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have ended up being a crucial technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
