Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large hard stumps from sites with minimal access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to help us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to raise large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and decreasing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial technique in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
