Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of big difficult stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial technique in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
