Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further ensure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
