We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the best possible method. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to raise big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial method in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
