We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an important strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
