We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of big tough stumps from websites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential technique in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
