We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
