Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate big hard stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
