Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big hard stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
