Tree pruning or removal either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of big hard stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become an important method in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
