Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate large difficult stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise large loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have ended up being an important technique in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
