Tree pruning or removal either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily remove large tough stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the best possible method. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
