Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily eliminate big tough stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a series of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an important method in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
