Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily eliminate big difficult stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
