Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily eliminate large hard stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further ensure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
