Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate big tough stumps from sites with minimal access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further guarantee the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function built canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important strategy in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
