David Beattie :: Executive Chairman
Experience & Qualifications
David has 19 years business experience and was Managing Director of Advanced Arbor Service Pty Ltd from its incorporation in 1999 to 2008 and proprietor of the business preceding that since 1996.
Advanced Arbor Service is a progressive and successful tree maintenance and vegetation management company servicing government and commercial clients throughout NSW. The company has undergone significant growth under David’s stewardship and now employs 45 personnel and 25 subcontractors.
With the growth of the business David has undertaken studies to formalise his business knowledge, including several modules of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, (AICD) Directors Essentials Programme and membership and mentoring with The Executive Connection, (TEC) to ensure the company’s continued success and compliance with relevant Legislation.
David has been involved with all aspects of the Arboriculture Industry formerly working hands on as a climber, EWP and chipper operator. He successfully completed the TAFE Tree Surgery course in 1997 and Advanced Diploma of Arboriculture in 2008 as well as many industry related competencies.
David was a Director of the International Society of Arboriculture Australian Chapter, (ISAAC) from 2004 to 2008 where his responsibilities include:

- Representative on WorkCover NSW Tree Work Code of Practice Working Group
- Representative on Utility Arborist Association Australia, (UAAA) Working Group
- Position on ISAAC Executive Committee
- Treasurer
David held a position on the Executive Committee of the Tree Contractors Association of Australia for 2005/2006.
