Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily remove big difficult stumps from sites with minimal access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to help us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further guarantee the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift big loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
