Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large hard stumps from sites with restricted access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential method in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
