Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove large difficult stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has established strategic alliances with numerous consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our customers.

Our Devices

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become an essential technique in preserving the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
