We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily eliminate big hard stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to help us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important method in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
