Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate large hard stumps from websites with limited access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become an important strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
