Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove large trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily remove large tough stumps from websites with restricted access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an important technique in preserving the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
