Tree pruning or elimination either individually, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big tough stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has established strategic alliances with several consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our customers.

Our Devices

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have ended up being an important method in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
