Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly get rid of large difficult stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
