We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of big tough stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further guarantee the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
