Tree pruning or elimination either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big difficult stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the urban environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have ended up being an essential strategy in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
