Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large challenging stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the best possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise large loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and minimizing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
