Tree pruning or elimination either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big hard stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function built canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become a crucial method in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
