Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large challenging stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an important method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
