Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can easily remove big challenging stumps from sites with limited access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has developed strategic alliances with numerous consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our customers.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible method. To further ensure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise big loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential technique in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
