We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the best possible method. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise large loads and for that reason minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have ended up being an important method in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
