Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically created for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically created for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies created to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and decreasing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have become a crucial technique in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
