Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or eliminate your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large tough stumps from websites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function built canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and decreasing dust triggering air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important technique in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
