Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate large tough stumps from sites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Devices

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
