We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big challenging stumps from sites with restricted access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a range of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and therefore reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have function built canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting airflow and reducing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we guarantee that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
