Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier installation.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big hard stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Hills Landscaping has developed strategic alliances with a number of consulting arborists throughout our service area for the benefit of our clients.

Our Equipment

We have a variety of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in eliminating trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have ended up being an essential strategy in protecting the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
