Tree pruning or removal either separately, in groups or as part of a program; stump grinding, root pruning and root barrier setup.

Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Standard AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate large hard stumps from websites with minimal access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further make sure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to lift large loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies developed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling air flow and lowering dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing urban environment root barriers have become an important method in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety features and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we make sure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
