Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the best possible method. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is performed on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and enhanced safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
