Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to help us in our day-to-day activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the best possible method. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing air flow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential method in maintaining the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety features and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
