We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in difficult positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to help us in our daily activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is specifically designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible method. To further guarantee the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks specifically designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capability to raise big loads and therefore lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a variety of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an essential strategy in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to permit the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a variety of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to decrease manual handling injuries.
