Our certified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch utilizing our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big challenging stumps from sites with limited access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and removal in the urban environment needs operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we conduct this work in the safest possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise big loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that minimises any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose constructed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an important method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to enable the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we ensure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to reduce manual handling injuries.
