We have accredited dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to eliminate big trees in tough positions. All tree waste is processed into recyclable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our range of stump grinders| means we can quickly eliminate big tough stumps from sites with restricted access. We also have root cutters and personnel experienced with the setup of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the safest possible method. To further guarantee the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are geared up with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater efficiency and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and therefore lowering our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose built canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become an important strategy in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to permit the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the latest safety features and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
