We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can quickly remove big challenging stumps from websites with limited access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to assist us in our day-to-day activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Tree maintenance and removal in the metropolitan environment requires operators to constantly work around overhead electrical infrastructure and with our specialised devices we perform this work in the best possible way. To further ensure the safe performance of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Standard AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical infrastructure.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher performance and improved safety in removing trees.

With their capacity to raise big loads and therefore minimizing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe manner in which minimises any pollution.

All tip trucks have function constructed canopies designed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst enabling airflow and minimizing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing city environment root barriers have ended up being a crucial method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety function, we ensure that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
