We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in challenging positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our Equipment

We have a series of equipment to help us in our everyday activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically checked elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly developed for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and removal in the urban environment needs operators to constantly work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is conducted on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP meet the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically checked hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly developed for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on mowers, our team makes carrying out your grounds maintenance easy, fast and safe. All our ride on mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide higher efficiency and improved safety in eliminating trees.

With their capability to raise large loads and for that reason decreasing our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and gather leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function built canopies developed to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and decreasing dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any job big or small.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing urban environment root barriers have become an essential technique in maintaining the harmony of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially developed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to allow the setup of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and meet the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety function, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
