Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have certified dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to remove big trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into multiple-use leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our variety of stump grinders| means we can easily remove big hard stumps from sites with minimal access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

Our Equipment

We have a range of equipment to help us in our daily activities consisting of;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically tested elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly created for close approach tree cutting (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree upkeep and elimination in the metropolitan environment needs operators to continually work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised equipment we perform this work in the safest possible way. To further guarantee the safe performance of our equipment, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP fulfill the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Equipment

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically tested hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly created for close approach tree cutting, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Lawn mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, fast and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions etc.

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater effectiveness and improved safety in getting rid of trees.

With their capacity to lift big loads and for that reason reducing our teams’ exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is mounted on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe manner in which reduces any contamination.

All tip trucks have purpose developed canopies created to safely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst permitting air flow and reducing dust triggering air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that range from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to perform any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a constantly developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial method in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specifically created to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst nicely cutting roots to enable the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that range from 225mm to 500mm capacity.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the current safety functions and fulfill the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an added safety feature, we guarantee that a choice of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to minimize manual handling injuries.
