Our qualified and experienced arborists together with our fleet of specialized plant and equipment will prune or remove your tree/s in accordance with Australian Basic AS 4373-2007 Pruning Amenity Trees, Workcover Tree Work Code of Practice and WorkCover Work Near Overhead Powerlines Code of Practice.

We have licensed dogmen, crane and elevated work platform operators to get rid of large trees in hard positions. All tree waste is processed into reusable leaf mulch using our fleet of wood chippers.

Our series of stump grinders| means we can easily get rid of large hard stumps from websites with limited access. We likewise have root cutters and personnel experienced with the installation of root barriers.

We have a variety of equipment to assist us in our everyday activities including;

1. Elevated Work Platforms

Our fleet of insulated and electrically evaluated elevating work platforms (EWP) is particularly designed for close approach tree trimming (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Tree maintenance and elimination in the metropolitan environment requires operators to continuously work around overhead electrical facilities and with our specialised devices we conduct this work in the best possible way. To further make sure the safe functioning of our devices, electrical testing of all EWP is carried out on a 6 monthly basis. All EWP satisfy the requirements of Australian Basic AS/NZS 1418.10-2004 Cranes, Hoists and Winches Part 10 Elevating Work Platforms.

2. Insulated Devices

All EWP are equipped with insulated electrically evaluated hydraulic long reach chainsaws and pulling sticks particularly designed for close approach tree trimming, (CATT) around live electrical facilities.

Ride On Mowers

With our fleet of ride on lawn mowers, our team makes performing your grounds maintenance simple, quick and safe. All our ride on lawn mowers are fitted with ROPS, o% grade capability low emissions and so on

3. Crane Trucks

Crane trucks provide greater performance and enhanced safety in removing trees.

With their capability to lift large loads and for that reason lowering our teams’ direct exposure to manual handling injuries whilst processing tree waste on the ground. Hills Landscaping has a 6 tonne truck mounted crane with telescopic reach of 15 metres. The crane is installed on a bogie drive truck with a 25m3 tipping body.

4. Tip Trucks

Covered tip trucks are used to tow wood chippers and collect leaf mulch in a safe way that reduces any pollution.

All tip trucks have function developed canopies designed to securely contain Leaf Mulch and Wood Chip whilst allowing airflow and lowering dust causing air pollution. We have a range of tip trucks that vary from 7m3 to 25m3 capacity to carry out any task big or little.

5. Root Cutter

In a continuously developing metropolitan environment root barriers have become a crucial strategy in protecting the consistency of trees and infrastructure.

The Hills Landscaping root cutter is specially designed to cut a narrow trench through earth whilst neatly cutting roots to allow the installation of root barrier.

6. Wood Chippers

We have a range of wood chippers that vary from 225mm to 500mm capability.

All our wood chippers are fitted with the most recent safety functions and satisfy the requirements of Australian Design Standards. As an included safety feature, we make sure that a selection of our wood chippers are fitted with winches to lower manual handling injuries.
